Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to join our friendly community team. We provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for adults in the community who have communication and/or swallowing difficulties, resulting from acquired or progressive neurological conditions such as stroke, motor neurone disease, Parkinsons and dementia as well as frailty. We work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team in the North-West Surrey Neighbourhood Boroughs.

Main duties of the job
We are a team committed to delivering high quality patient care, including a community FEES service. Our clinicians have wide ranging expertise, and peer support is always readily accessible. The post holder will have access to regular clinical supervision and CPD opportunities in line with their agreed personal development plan.
This post would suit a Band 6 therapist or an experienced Band 5 therapist who is keen to work towards developing to Band 6. Completed dysphagia training is preferred but therapists who can evidence significant progress towards completing their dysphagia competencies will also be considered. The successful candidate will join a team of highly skilled Speech & Language Therapists, delivering services in community inpatient, outpatient, and domiciliary settings. As this is a community service that covers a large geographical area, being a car driver is essential.
