Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Hospitality Assistant to join our team in Hertford Heath, United Kingdom. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience by providing top-notch service and support across various aspects of our operations.
- Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive first impression
- Assist with food and beverage service, including taking orders, serving meals, and clearing tables
- Support event setup and breakdown, ensuring spaces are prepared according to specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, event spaces, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth overall operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage operations preferred
- Excellent product knowledge of food and beverages
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
- Good presentation skills and professional appearance
