We are seeking a  dedicated individual to join a team that plays a vital role in shaping the future of our Trust. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust  operates a centralised Strategy, Innovation, Transformation, and Improvement function. This function is designed to deliver major change programmes aimed at enhancing outcomes and achieving greater value for the people who use our services, as well as their loved ones. Through this centralised approach, the Trust is able to coordinate efforts to improve service delivery and support the overall mission of providing high-quality mental health care.

The Transformation Manager plays a key role in the Trust by leading and managing end to end strategic transformation initiatives that align with the Trust’s overarching vision and objectives. This position involves close collaboration with executive leads, clinicians, service users, and system partners to drive projects that enhance clinical services, improve patient care, and increase operational efficiency throughout the organisation.

 As part of these responsibilities, the Transformation Manager will identify new business opportunities, support the development of bids, manages competitive processes and internal business cases, and help to establish new partnerships. Furthermore, the role is pivotal in developing new clinical models of care, utilising innovative delivery approaches to ensure the Trust remains at the forefront of healthcare transformation”.

Main duties of the job

The Transformation Manager is responsible for supporting Service Divisions and system partners transform care through identifying new business opportunities, supporting bids, competitive processes and internal business cases, building and forming new partnerships, improving current service provision and developing innovative approaches to service delivery. 

You will be responsible for programme managing transformation projects from concept through to mobilisation working and alongside colleagues at all levels, facilitating collaboration, including senior clinicians, executive leads, teams and service users. You will support Division leads to developing new clinical models of care to drive service improvement.

Essential criteria
  • • Relevant masters/degree level qualification or equivalent clinical/professional/management experience
  • • Formal project/programme management qualification or equivalent experience in programme delivery
Desirable criteria
  • • Quality Improvement qualification (or willing to work towards this)

Experience

  • • Extensive senior programme management experience across complex health care systems
  • • Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering service transformation
  • • Demonstrable experience of leading successful business development/bids
  • • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management and planning
  • • Demonstrable experience of line management
