The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to manage our transport operation at our manufacturing site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of packaging solutions to our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing daily transport planning, routing, load fill and fleet optimisation
- Driver debrief, supervising, holiday/absence cover, on road issues
- Arranging couriers / third parties
- Adherence to O Licence rules and compliance
- Organising vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Collaborating with other departments, e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Design, Planning and Production
- Reports, Admin, Record keeping
What We’re Looking For
- Proven transport management experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of HGV operations, driver hours, and transport compliance
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- CPC in Transport Management is desirable but not essential
- Planning – forward thinking
- Organised with attention to detail
- Good Geographical knowledge
