IKEA Reading are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser/Activity Co-worker to our team. A Visual Merchandiser at IKEA designs and maintains attractive product displays, implements store layout plans, collaborates on merchandising strategies, and stays updated on home furnishing trends. WHAT WE OFFER • The Start Date of employment will be: March 2026• Starting salary of £28,928 based on competence and experience . • 39 Hours working 5 days over 7 shifts will be from 7.30am till 4pm. Occasional weekend working as and when the business requires.• We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview. Full Benefit List https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/this-is-ikea/work-with-us/why-work-with-us-because-a-job-with-us-is-so-much-more-than-a-job-pub1969c310WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE • You have a degree or a minimum of 1 years visual merchandising experience in a relevant creative field. • A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, is essential. • You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to use generate new ideas to inspire our customers. • You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • Use visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.• Understanding the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor’s expectations. • Collaborate with the Com&In team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results• Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes.WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality.
