We are seeking an experienced professional to grow our Workforce Transformation practice. We partner with clients to design and implement practical workforce solutions that improve organisational effectiveness, build future capabilities and align talent strategies to business objectives. Our work spans workforce transformation strategy, AI workforce impact, operating model design, workforce planning, skills taxonomy development, skills assessments, workforce analytics and organisation design.

 

Our clients range from local organisations to some of the world’s leading employers. This role will be Ireland-based but will work closely with colleagues across EMEA and globally depending on client needs.

This is a commercially focused role with direct client and prospect interaction. At this level, individuals are expected to drive business growth, develop client relationships, win new opportunities and successfully lead the delivery of workforce transformation projects.

What the day will look like

The Workforce Transformation Director will be primarily focused on growing the Workforce Transformation practice while collaborating closely with colleagues across Talent, Human Capital and other Aon solution lines.

Main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and grow Aon’s Workforce Transformation business through business development, networking, thought leadership and client relationship management.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of senior stakeholders both internally and externally to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Shape, sell and lead customised workforce transformation solutions, bringing together expertise from across Aon where appropriate.
  • Solve clients’ workforce challenges through the design and implementation of workforce transformation strategies and programmes.
  • Lead client engagements across areas including AI workforce impact, operating model design, workforce planning, skills-based workforce transformation, skills taxonomy design and skills assessments.
  • Accountable for ensuring projects are delivered with quality, accuracy and efficiency while achieving commercial objectives.
  • Manage project teams, provide direction and coaching to junior colleagues while maintaining a high level of personal involvement in delivery.
  • Support the development of thought leadership and market-facing propositions that strengthen Aon’s position in workforce transformation.

The successful candidate will combine commercial leadership with consulting delivery, playing an active role in developing opportunities, winning work and leading client engagements. They will work across a wide range of projects and collaborate with specialists from across Human Capital, Talent, Rewards, Assessment, Analytics, Change and Organisation Design to deliver integrated client solutions.

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Experience in workforce transformation, organisation design, workforce strategy, HR transformation or a related consulting discipline.
  • Proven track record of business development and senior stakeholder relationship management.
  • Experience leading and delivering complex consulting projects.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, operating model design, organisation effectiveness, AI workforce impact, skills-based organisations and/or workforce analytics.
  • Ability to shape, sell and deliver consulting solutions in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading and developing project teams.
  • Commercial competence with the ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • Psychometric assessment and coaching experience desired, though not essential.
