Job Purpose:
Based at HMP YOI Stirling and reporting direct to the Procurement Manager, the post holder will provide an effective and efficient general administration service across three establishments, with a particular focus on the administration of the prisoners’ canteen duties and processing of prisoner personal cash and wage related transactions. The post holder will be required to work to strict deadlines and within the parameters of the SPS Finance Policy
Responsibilities:
Checking and calculating all prisoner canteen sheets prior to processing through the Prisoner Record System (PR2). Bag, tag and store individual orders for dispatch to the prisoners within the 3 establishments
Conducting monthly reconciliations canteen transactions through PR2
Working with the Procurement and/or Finance Manager to conduct weekly, monthly and Year end stock checks of all canteen items and reconcile these to stock issued. ensuring all variances are managed and processed in line with SPS Finance Policy
Maintaining stock levels and re-order stock on a weekly basis as required
Processing, ordering and collecting all prisoner sundry items from Suppliers
Updating and maintaining prisoner telephone lists and assist in processing financial transactions through PR2 for prisoner wage payments, phone credits and canteen purchases
