Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.
You will be based at the prestigious Wycliffe College, nestled in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds countryside, Wycliffe College is an independent private co-ed school for boys & girls aged 3-1
This is a term time position with the option to work up to an extra five weeks throughout summer if desired. Shifts are 7.5 hours a day working five days over seven, and based between 6am and 8pm – Monday to Sunday. However you will only work 2 weekends a month so there's plenty of work life balance!
As our next Commis Chef you will have excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm.
You will be working with a fabulous team of other chefs providing day to day catering, exceptional fine dining, pop ups and offerings for a host of other events using fresh, local ingredients. Creativeness and innovation are encouraged. This is a fabulous position for the right candidate with actual work/life balance, an excellent environment and supportive management.
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering
- Have a progressive career to date
- Be up to date with current food trends
- Have a real passion for food and customer service
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge
- Be able to work within set budgets
- Know how to cost and plan menus accurately
- Be familiar with training and coaching a team
