About the role   

As Instore Culinary Developer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the client business operates to and is compliant with the sectors culinary & marketing strategy. The role is as a hands-on support service to the Senior and local One Retail leadership teams ensuring they have the required products and tools to attain and maintain the required standards set out within the said strategy.

 
• You will identify emerging market trends and envision innovative and palate pleasing products.
• Working with the buying team it will be up to you to devise an appropriate own label strategy ensuring it aligns with the overall business strategy.
• You will need the pragmatic nature to gauge whether a product/ concept is commercial, as well as meet tight deadlines while balancing multiple responsibilities.
• With your proactive and hands on approach, you’ll liaise with the team and suppliers, coordinating tastings to ensure requirements are understood and the finished product meets our standards.
• Using your exceptional communication skills, you’ll work with the teams across the business and build strong relationships. You’ll have resilience and self-assurance to advise and persuade when necessary
•  Monitor and support the teams, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
•  In unit hands on culinary/marketing operational coaching
•  Hold team meetings to communicate targets and achievements.  
•  Support & interact with our clients both internal and external
•  Comply with company and statutory policies, procedures, and regulations
                 
                
Who you are 
• Previous developer experience within multi-site Instore high street quick service restaurants / Cafe
• Impressive background in food development
• A true passion for food and service
• Qualified City & Guilds 706/1 -2 or NVQ equivalent
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Presentation skills a must
• High level of financial and commercial awareness previous experience running P&Ls
• Demonstrates positive experiences within project / change management.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively on all levels
• Friendly and approachable, with the right skills to develop and manage teams
• Strong catering background
• Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
• Experience in highly commercial and price sensitive markets
• Experience working with delivery partners and implementation of such systems
