Work Location: In person

  • To clean allocated pieces of catering equipment using company instructions and the correct cleaning materials.
  • To operate an industrial dishwasher and ensure its end of day cleanliness with a daily clean which should always be to a safe and hygienic standard.
  • To exercise due care & attention to ensure minimal breakages of equipment.
  • To transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required.
  • To re-stock front of house items as required.
  • To accept deliveries of goods, store away in the correct area and complete paperwork as required.
  • To maintain excellent client/customer relationships.
  • To attend team briefs, and meetings as required.
  • To attend your performance development review to discuss job standards and agree development activities.
  • To maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.
  • To maintain high levels of personal hygiene and wear the appropriate uniform and PPE as required.
  • To care for all available resources including equipment, materials and supplies, as directed.
  • To report any near miss occurrences, accidents or faulty equipment to management.
  • To ensure effective communication with line manager, team, customers and client.
  • To support the management of consumption/waste levels and service/cleaning standards to the agreed establishment targets.
  • Record food waste as directed by Head Chef.
  • To report any equipment defects and deficiencies to the management team immediately.
  • Undertake as directed, opening and closing procedures within your area and associated areas with particular emphasis on hygiene and security.
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by management.
  • You should be able to work on your own initiative and within a team environment.
