Overview
Salary: £33000 per annum
Shift hours: Permanent
- Collaborate with operational leads to develop and review menus and recipes, ensuring compliance with nutritional requirements and budget constraints.
- Utilize recipe database software to propose necessary recipe changes and run nutritional data reports when required.
- Participate in new product evaluations and provide recommendations based on nutritional qualities.
- Stay abreast of relevant nutritional, government, and food standards legislation, ensuring compliance across all operations.
- Provide nutritional analysis and coding of menus and recipes, including allergen and dietary suitability information.
- Conduct audits of meal services, gathering feedback and recommending changes as needed.
- Lead the development of menus and health & wellbeing messages within healthcare restaurants.
- Offer technical dietetic/nutrition support to catering, operational teams, and clients.
- Visit sites to liaise with operational and client teams, particularly during new contract start-ups.
- Deliver nutrition/dietetic training and create relevant training materials for colleagues in food service roles.
- Undertake site visits to review food services and support necessary changes.
- Develop special dietary operational policies and menus, and assist in implementing mealtime initiatives such as Protected Mealtimes.
- Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition, or relevant degree with Diploma in Dietetics.
- HCPC Registered Dietitian or Registered Nutritionist (or working towards this).
- Ideally At least two years’ experience as a dietitian or nutritionist in a healthcare environment
- Experience in a foodservice/catering environment
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Menu planning and menu analysis
- Teaching and presentation skills
- Project management
- Computer generated nutritional analysis
- Conversant with Excel, Word and Outlook.
