A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen, giving you the opportunity to join our expanding Adult Social Adult Social Care Department as a Support Worker to give practical support to the Locality Social Work Team Within.

We are developing a new role in which you would act as a support worker on cases which require two members of staff to support.

This may be due to:

Risks posed by the area that the visit is taking place in.

Risks posed by the service user e.g. challenging behaviour.

The need to transport the service user safely.

We are looking for an individual who can work Tuesdays to Fridays 6 hours between 9 and 5pm 9am and 4.30pm Friday.

The role would involve:

Attending joint home visits with social workers this may be in individual’s own home or in community settings.

Supporting social workers to transport service users to appointments or to assist with moving to new accommodation.

Recording notes on the adult social care database (where required).

The social worker will take the lead during the visit, but your support will be valuable in helping to put the service user at ease by providing reassurance and being part of the conversations that are taking place.

This vacancy is part time 30 hours per week.
