Circa £54,000 (£45,000 base + 20% Shift Allowance) dependent on skills & experience
Full time, 37 hours per week – 24/7 shift pattern, including bank holidays

We are recruiting for an Operational Control Manager – Water Recycling, to join our Tactical Operations team on a permanent basis!   

What you’ll be doing:  

The role is our eyes and ears of the 24/7 centralised management function recognising opportunity and threat in real time and responding accordingly.  
 
This role utilises the skills of the Tactical Operations team, systems and processes to optimise the centralised control of operational assets in liaisons with field teams. You’ll proactively monitor workloads and operational systems making informed decisions to optimise asset performance and efficient use of resource management, ensuring excellent service to our customers is maintained.  
 
Working closely with other teams around the business such as Water Recycling, the Operational Control Manager will be responsible for the compliance and distribution of final water quality when dealing with both planned and reactive events.

Our ideal candidate will have relevant operational experience as well as:  
 
– Proven decision-making skills in an operational incident and/or operational environment  
– Regulatory knowledge  
– Ability to think strategically and to challenge and change accepted working practices in favour of new and more effective ways of working  
– Able to demonstrate budget/financial control  
– Innovative thinker with root cause approach to problem solving
