About the role

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work across Cambridgeshire within our Prevention and Early Intervention services. The aim of the service is to identify, prevent, reduce and delay the need for both short and long term care and support. It comprises of the Adult Early Help team, Reablement, Technology Enabled Care, Sensory Services and Occupational Therapy.

We are committed to growing an occupational therapy team that can provide preventative and strengths based interventions to enable people to achieve what really matters to them.

We play a crucial role in preventing admissions, promoting single handed care through specialist assessment and equipment provision, signposting, problem solving, facilitating discharges, and acting as a link between health and social care.

About you

The successful candidate will be required to travel across the county and will need access to a vehicle.

We have office bases across Cambridgeshire in March, St Ives, Cambridge, Ely and Huntingdon, and the post holders work base may be negotiable dependant on the needs of the service. We work in an agile way, and home working for a proportion of the working week can be supported.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We will also honour any continuous service in terms of annual leave entitlement for staff joining us from other local authorities or NHS trusts.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the role or employee benefits, please call Occupational Therapy Team Manager Rebecca Marr on 07712251427.

This is a rolling campaign, and we will review applications daily so please don’t wait for the closing date to apply. Candidates will be progressed shortly after they apply, and the opportunity will be filled as soon as we identify a suitable candidate, which may be before the closing date. So please don’t hesitate, we want to speak to you now!
